At #NAI2025, we had the distinct privilege of presenting the Yogi and Lovely Goswami Award in Energy and Sustainability to Martin Green, Scientia Professor at University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney and Founding Director of the Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics. Newly introduced last year, the Yogi and Lovely Goswami Award in Energy and Sustainability honors individuals who have made significant and enduring contributions in the field of Energy and Sustainability over the course of their career, and was co-founded by Yogi Goswami, FNAI, Distinguished Professor and Director of the Clean Energy Research Center at #NAIMemberInstitution the University of South Florida. Dr. Green has been a driving force behind some of the most significant advances in solar technology. For 30 years, his group has held the record for silicon solar cell efficiency — an achievement recognized as one of the “Top Ten” Milestones in the history of solar photovoltaics. The PERC solar cell that he invented in 1983 and his team developed to its full potential accounted for 91.2% of worldwide silicon solar module production in 2021 (CPIA). Thank you, Martin Green, for your incredible contributions to solar energy. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Green! #Innovation #Invention #STEM
